The Vacu-Maid Metal Wall Inlet is a non-electric, pin jack inlet. There are two low voltage contacts inside the inlet that connect with the hose. This allows the central vacuum system to be turned on and off from the switch in the hose handle. This inlet will work with most non-electric hoses.
This inlet has a full metal door.  The hinge on the door keeps the door closed when not in use preventing loss of suction.  The Vacu-Maid SF290 Back Plate should be used for proper installation.
